Thursday, May 2, 2019 @ 10:00am Pacific Time

Bright & quirky kids have unique brain wiring which can make the world an intense, stressful place to be. Join us for an exciting masterclass and Q&A session with Dr. Start Shanker, author of Self-Reg: How to Help Your Child (and You) Break the Stress Cycle and Successfully Engage with Life. Learn self-regulation skills and concrete ways to improve your child’s mood and attention, to successfully engage with life.

Click the triangles below to automagically find each specific question in the recording:

1Is there a way to help our sensitive children better self regulate at school?
2How do we regulate ourselves, relate to our child and manage in tense circumstances or when we are all triggered?
3The stress of school tests cause my 13 y/o to become dis-regulated, how do we help?
4With summer approaching, are there any strategies that you recommend for kids who are able to find stress in nearly every situation?
5What is the difference between oppositional defiant disorder and Pathological demand avoidance?
6It's hard to say no to my 2e seven year old daughter who wants a 20 minutes show after a busy day at school and perhaps an after school activity. It seems to relax her. Thoughts?
7How should a parent respond to a 4, 5, 6 year old who has gone over the edge into “fight mode” & is aggressively coming after the parent in full on attack mode trying to punch & kick?
8Can self regulation help my daughter with her intense anxiety?
9I am a 2e mom who had childhood epilepsy and I wonder if there has been any research on self-regulation and epilepsy?

Thanks, Angela! Dr. Shanker was so enlightening and his work is pretty amazing in how much of the science it pulls together from various fields. Interviewing him was a delight!
