    My aha moment is realizing that my husband probably has ADD, because he is great at the ideation stage, but not in the details. My 2e daughter on the spectrum does need that structure, and does have trouble writing and with word math problems, even though she can read and verbalize just fine. Do we know why that is, and what is going on in the brain? She does have anxiety, so maybe that’s what’s getting in the way of writing.

      Hi Sabrina, Check out Neuroscientist Dr. Nicole Tetreault’s talk in week 5. Very interesting to learn what’s going on in the brain!

        I’ve listened to Nicole’s SENGinar and contacted her directly, but still don’t fully understand it. Will listen again in Week 5! Thanks!

        These ideas were hinted at but not described;

        “executive function: copy of notes, online homework, assistive technology, supported start, which I want to know more about, peer editing, chunking, interim deadlines.“

        Can you describe what these look like?

        Thank you

          Hi Amy,

          I’m not sure how Jacqui Byrne would answer these but we’ve got lots more executive function talks coming in the March Summit. Be sure the especially watch Micheal Delman!

          Warmly,

          Debbie
